Introduction
The Louisiana Deparment of Environmental Quality has, with the
help of ESRI, developed the "Make-A-Map" web application.
With Make-A-Map, you can make and use interactive maps inside your web browser. It allows you to add many types of data layers, including satellite imagery and aerial photography.
All of the map service software used at the LDEQ are simple web pages. Therefore, if you have any problems running a map service, the problem is likely with your web browser. This application requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 SP2 or higher with scripting enabled. Click here to download Internet Explorer or a patch.
NEW FEATURE!
The new version of Make-A-Map will have a new feature that allows
you to return to the Wizard to add new layers without losing your place
in the map. Simply click the "WIZARD" button in the upper-left corner
of the map window, and the Make-A-Map Wizard window will come back.
After making changes in the Wizard, click the [Make A Map] button
to return to your map.

The Make-A-Map interractive map is built using ESRI's ArcIMS technology.
As such, most of the tool buttons are standard ArcIMS tools. Click
